I taught myself how to play the piano. Right now I’m learning how to create a music track.I’m having problem.

my problem is, I don’t know how to go about formatting the song. What colletivity of sound do I pick to make an R&B track or a gospel tracks. If anyone can point to a DVD. I will very much appreciate that. Or if someone has a very good advice. Please help me.

hi, i am a composer myself… when i started composing i was also somewat confused as to wat to do…
wat u need to do here is to first try to figure out wat u wanna compose…once figuring that out, try to decide how u r gonna make, like if its gonna be a fast or a slow track, which instruments shud match best, wat shud be the song abt, an all that stuff…
then do a scratch recording..paly it over a few times…make notes as if wat changes u think u wanna make n all that…
then go over to a recording studio if u dont hv the recording facilities at ur place n get an engineer to help u arrange the sound n do the final formatting and mixing…
by the end of all this , i hope ur track will be ready…
